Excellent news! Although it seems somewhat strange for al Qaeda to try and attack on the anniversary of 9/11... The reason I say that is that acts of terror by MOST terrorist organizations have a significant meaning but are usually unexpected. To do it on a big anniversary of one of their organization's attacks on the US seems a bit strange to me. We do need to keep our guard up though... This may have been somewhat of a diversion and another attack is planned...

It was always going to be a day which posed a more substantial risk of terror attacks - it's a symbolic event and there are going to be large gatherings of people in a number of high-profile locations, so it's inevitably a tempting target. That said, provided they treat the threats seriously and respond accordingly then that's all they can really do.

Considering they saw tapes of Osama saying that anniversary attacks are being planned, they should have been more prepared.

Just because this is the first time we've heard of it, doesn't mean it's the same for them. They've known since they raided Osama's compound, they just don't want months of mass panic.

That information came out around the time of the raid on Osama's compound. It wasn't heavily reported since it wasn't September. I think, anyway. I seem to recall hearing it.

I sincerely hope 9/11/11 goes by without incident. If something happens, for it to happen again, a lot of faith will be lost in just how powerful the west is. If we didn't accomplish anything over a decade of "the war on terror" and we are still living in potential fear...

Honestly I doubt the seriousness of these attacks, they've threatened us numerous times since 9/11, and nothing has come from these threats. I believe it may just be another scare tactic to keeps us fearful.

The Delaware State Police SORT Unit is the only "SWAT" team in the US that has passed all training given by the US government and on call 24/7 to report to any site the US deems nessacery to tactically contain any situation. Along with our bomb squad.

The Delaware Dept of Homeland Security and Safety also works closely with the US Dept of Homeland Security on an hour to hour bases.

So did I miss something? You said that they prob wouldn't attack Delaware since I told you I work for the Delaware State Police... I then informed you that the Delaware State Police respond nationally to serious situations, such as terrorist attacks.

My point was that Delaware isn't a major target for terrorists, therefore they probably won't attack it. I don't care that you work for DSP, that has nothing to do with my statement of Delaware not being a target.
