Should prisoners be more guarded from other prisoners?

In my opinion, yes - the law does not stop outside the prison gates, and nor should it. However heinous their crimes, they are still human beings and all the vitriol and hatred will not stop them being that so we had best treat them as such, and that at its most basic means trying not to let them kill each other.

However bleak things seem, however insurmountable the darkness appears, remember that you have worth and nothing can take that away.

I believe that prisoners should still retain basic rights, and this includes safety. If they need to be separated or put into solitary, then so be it.
