It's a nice idea and all, trying to be the local superhero but I feel some situations are best left to be dealt with by the police rather then stepping in and possibly making it worse, especially if you've not been trained to deal with the situation.
Still, it's stop to arrest him for trying to help and stop the fight. |

I think the police might just be trying to get the point across to him. He is technically a private citizen, and assaulting someone with pepper spray is still assault. He can get off by jury sympathy (if they even charged him), but the mere act of arresting him should be enough to get it through his skull. The police are trained to deal with this, and simply calling them, without running at them and spraying pepper spray, is enough to deal with the situation. In my mind, he made the situation a hell of a lot worse than it could've been.

I found the whole thing comical (I know, bad choice of words but I couldn't think of a better one) until pepper spray got mentioned. For all the good intentions, that is assault. I suppose you could argue most superheroes effectively commit assault (especially someone like Batman) but then we're getting onto a very slippery slope...

I think I'm beginning to love the guy. Awesome example. lol... but he does need to work on his methods. He made such a mess that night. More martial arts, less amateur defence gadgets. And more pro-active crime fighting. I've seen many people in the UK walk past a disturbance, pretending they can't even hear it, of course they don't even call the police.
