Joe Paterno fired over Penn State child abuse scandel - November 10th 2011, 11:17 PM

Recently heard about the child abuse scandel that has rocked Pen State University football team involving former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky. I've heard that he did all he could do (which was report it), yet he was still fired. Anyone got any insight onto why? Here's 1 article of many out there about it. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/10/sp...enn-state.html

Paterno did the bare minimum, that's the problem. If you get a report of child rape in your showers you don't just tell your boss, forget about it and allow it to continue for 9 years. Something like this, you go to the police. No one who knew about this pushed it further for fear of disrupting the 'Paterno Legacy' and Penn State football.

I think the number of victims is up to 20 now. Sandusky ran a foundation to help at-risk kids which where he encountered most of them. There are rumors he 'pimped' boys out to rich donors too. Pretty sickening.
