I'm shocked, though not surprised. Middle school's usually aren't as accepting of this behavior like high school's are. My middle school boyfriend, Matt and myself, couldn't even hold hands during recess because we would get in trouble. We had to sneak a kiss before school, and after when we said goodbye because we could have gotten in trouble. Once I hit high school, it was a bit more accepting.

But, to call a simple kiss a 'sex crime' is utterly laughable, and these teachers need to look up the definition of what a REAL sex crime is.

I don't believe that the police were called because two students kissed. The article makes it sound like the police were called because the boy didn't consent to the kiss. Which isn't so outrageous. If someone kissed me without my consent, I would consider it sexual harrassment, which is a crime. Honestly, I would be more upset if the school was just ignoring possible sexual harrassment cases; while their reaction was probably a bit over-the-top, I'd rather students be overprotected than underprotected in schools.

The school isn't telling the kids, "don't do this because we'll give you a detention", instead they're telling the kids, ", durr, don't do this because we're a bunch of clowns and will call the cops on your asses, derp".

1) Kissing is a sex crime, sentence to prison.

In all seriousness, though, this kind of bothers me. It's almost like making a joke out of real sex crimes. That stuff is serious. Superstar: My sister got mono over summer break when she at the house the whole time. Apparently someone in our house had it but was imune and she drank a water glass the infected person used or something. So kissing isn't the only way to get it, nor the most popular. So the arguement is kinda stupid.

Well, I'm certainly glad that the police were involved. Maybe it will act as a warning to other children. Cooties is on the rise, and it is a well known fact that any physical contact can spread it, with kissing being the worst. Males and females should be segregated completely with no contact, ever.
