Metro UK reported this week that the girl, Mekeeda Austin, who lives in Brickhill in Bedford, also threatened to "hunt down" Santa's reindeer so she could "cook them and serve their meat to homeless people on Xmas day.

I think it's important to consider that, in a way, we all can be considered spoiled to other people who are less fortunate than us. When I was 12-13, I never even thought of feeding Santa's reindeer to the homeless people; hell, I didn't care about homeless people (and arguably still don't care about them). If I can interpret her message correctly, she's basically saying that if she doesn't get Justin Bieber, then she'll stop all the kids from getting presents from Santa because the reindeer that power the sled are used as food for the homeless. I think that's actually pretty thoughtful for a 12-13 year old kid to say something like that. Besides, why is this news? Kids often say shit like that all the time because they aren't exactly up to par with the mentality of 16-21 year olds that commonly visit this site. I kind of feel bad for her because she's been given bad publicity for being a typical irrational when upset well brought up child. But that's just me, I suppose.

According to the article, her letter to Santa was because she didn't get the presents she wanted, which is pretty immature of her, although I don't expect a 13-year old to have the maturity of the average well-educated adult. It's obviously a joke, either that or she hates (rein)deer. It's the same as when Acheron tells Chandler he's going to shove his foot up his ass. Obviously, that's not going to happen and most people would understand Acheron is angry. This girl did just that but instead of saying something purely hateful, she said something hateful mixed with comedy.

Overblown exaggerated news story. It's stupid for someone to write something like that... but you can't expect someone aged 13 to be any more mature than an average 13 year old brought up in Western culture. I mean... logical, no? I'd be a celebrity if all my young-age fits made it to the news like this. Here's what bugs me: there are some people that are just hoping for a decent Christmas this year. It's not the Justin Bieber thing that I care about.
