I'm excited. It seems like Ron Paul has really gained popularity since the last election. I would LOVE for him to become the Republican Party's candidate for the presidency. He's got my vote, mostly because he's SO different from a typical Republican.

He's so different he's almost a democrat

He's meh to me. He just sounds like an isolationist republican. I hate his ideas about health care but he's the best republican candidate

Michelle ... homophobic + stupid
Rick Perry... homophobic + stupid
Santorum ... unnecessarily big forehead
Romney ... meh

He's actually a Libertarian which isn't anything like being a Democrat. Libertarians tend to be somewhat in between Republican and Democrat, which makes Libertarianism a nice balance between the two "main" parties. The only issue I disagree with him on is abortion, but that's another matter.
I like Ron Paul a lot because, aside from most of his political views, he wasn't a politician initially. He was a physician. Not to mention that he isn't some extreme left wing or right wing whack job... There is that nicer balance between the two extremes.

Eh. Ron Paul or Romney are their best bets, but I don't like either. But I'm fairly liberal, so maybe it's not the best to give my opinion. I've just seen a lot of interviews with Ron Paul where it's just like...really? He's better than the other weird ones, but he's just not the brightest.

Maybe this is the year Ron Paul finally breaks through. Our neighbors are long time supporters of him and I know they would be very ecstatic to find out that he is currently a front runner. Here comes yet another election year.

Success is probably the only thing that can stop the ever-irritating Ron Paul internet circlejerk, so I'm all in favour.

Please tell me that this means the Ron Paul cult on the internet now shuts the hell up.
EDIT: Damn it, he lost. I can hear the cult's whining already.

He always looks like he's doing better than he is on any sort of poll because his supporters stuff the ballot box any way they can. Unfortunately for them, real elections don't work that way.

Perry and Bachmann now might drop out though, which is a plus.

Bachman's out, Perry will be done by the end of the week.

It's going to be Romney vs. Obama.
