Then again I don't think we should stop talking about racism entirely. It would still happen and people would be afraid to bring it up if it was happening. I just think we should stop separating people.

Separating black people and white people is making it worse. I think it's defeating the whole point.

I don't see anything wrong with it, It is a part of American and Canadian history but it's a specific month to focus on it. Nothing wrong with that.

And He said there's no white history month, It's like television. It's okay to have Black Entertainment Television, But White Entertainment Televison would be racist.

And when he says stop talking about racism, I think he's meaning that if everyone saw everyone else as people instead of people of this color or that color, then there would be no such thing as racism.

That's nothing. There are three more channels devoted to the black race. I don't understand it either. But I don't think BET and all the other television channel's that showcase to black people are racist. I just think that many tv shows, especially sitcoms, are predominately white casted. It would be nice if you are black to watch something that you can relate to.

I never liked black history month, it should just be included in history instead of being separated out. I'm glad I don't have to do biographies on black people every year anymore. Maybe it would be more significant to me if I were black. So basically I agree with him that it shouldn't get it's own month or special attention, I think by stop talking about racism he means, stop seeing and defining people by the color of their skin and just treat them as fellow human beings. Maybe he's hoping that if enough people treat each other like that and racists stop getting reenforced and attention for their views, they'll stop making such a fuss.

I was going to make a new thread about this, but considering you have groups like the Lifeline Expedition whose sole goal is to make white people apologize (and seemingly humiliated) for having a history slavery, I don't think people will every stop talking about race and racism. We like it too much.
