This Is My Veiw On The World! - February 1st 2012, 08:05 PM

I didnt know where to put this, but this is kinda a veiw of mine in the world at the moment. I hope it doesnt offend anymore.

There are people who get on with there lives even when they know what there going through wont get any better. Cancer patience. They worry about there next appointment finding out if it has spread if they will live to see there next Christmas, while we sit here and moan about how hard work is. They don’t stop they carry on.

Wars in Afghanistan they fight for our country and some may not come back, non of them get put in the newspaper about how great they are doing, they don’t moan if they have to work on Christmas. Do they complain. No. They deserve the most respect, they need to know we care!

Children with life threatening diseases just want to live a normal life, disabled people who don’t complain. Why should they have to suffer in silence, why should they be treated differently.

Racism, why should it affect anything we are all the same, no one is different! Everyone deserves equal right, nothing should be based on race, religion, sexuality. Everyone is born the exact same way so why should they be treated differently because they are a different race or have different beliefs.

Everyone has there problems, why do we have to come together as a county we are a world in a our world is in a milky way in a galaxy, we might not be the only people in the whole universe. Why do we have to be the ones to fight with each other. We come together in times of need, but why? We always need each other. We don’t just need to come together to help each other but we need to help the world we live in. Why does 2012 have to be the year the world ends why cant it be the year we realise we can come together and protect the world we live on.

I have always been told to take a stand for what I believe in and that you can always reach your dreams but what I dream isn’t something that can happen over night. I don’t even believe its possible for it to happen, we have become worthless humans, we don’t belong at the top of the food chain. We don’t achieve anything by killing each other why don’t we work together. Is it because were afraid? Or are we just selfish? Seeing the things that happen and ignoring them.

Whats your opintion??

Billie

Hey Billie
I think the questions you asked here are something that we all have asked at one point or the other. So, to answer your questions, I'll basically give you the answers I had found for these questions.
There are 2 kinds of people- good and bad. And to be honest, life won't go on without the bad ones. Without them, we can't be who we are. The situations they put us in, make us go through hell, these shape our personality. We learn a lot from such experiences. And the most important, they make us appreciate the good people around us. Its only when we go through bad times that we are able to value the good times. All the selfish people are there to make us realize the value of unselfishness.
Life can't go on without them! Imagine a novel or a movie in which all characters are good. No one bitches about each other, every one understands each other, every one is caring and looking after each other. What will the story be about then?
There was a time when I wondered why God couldn't just make all the bad people nice. I got my answer from a novel (House of Night). The Goddess in the novel was like "I give free will to all my children. If I start controlling their actions, then they will be like puppets. It won't be a life of their own. they'll be living the way I want them to."
So its like, we all have free will. Some choose to misuse it, others don't and the world can't go on without both.

You know, not all do this. Many give up. Many complain. Some kill themselves. It's unfair of you to group of people like cancer patients together like this. I have a chronic illness, and you can bet your butt I do my share of whining.

Actually, many soldiers do complain. Unless you've had a camera on every soldier who has served in tn Afghanistan, you cannot claim this.

I don't need to inherently respect anyone simply because of their job. I don't trust every cop or every doctor, and I don't respect every janitor or prostitute. Soldiers get paid to do what many do not want to do: leave home and kill people for money. We're not protecting anything by being in Afghanistan. They're not fighting for our country.

Again, many don't suffer in silence. Again, you are making blanket statements here. Maybe they should be treated differently because they ARE different. I don't mean that in a bad way, I mean and I only mean, they are different. Many disabled people cannot work or function on their own. That makes them inherently different from healthy people, thus they are treated differently.

Technically we are all different, unless you happen to have an identical twin. We all have different skin, height, hair, weight, etc.

"Nothing "should" be based on race, religion, and sexuality". I disagree with you here. I feel like some belief systems are better. The ones that are accepting of Homosexuals and equal rights for women and all races, the ones that don't force worship, or threaten eternal torture for finite crimes. Those are worse, others are better.

And if people try to force these kind of beliefs, they should be treated differently. Think of the West Boro Baptist Church. They like to say God Hates Fags and Thank God for Dead Soldiers at military funerals. They should be treated the same as Wiccans or Atheists? Why? Not all beliefs are created equal.

What times of need are you talking about? WW2? When America "helped" the civilians of Japan by killing them? You're probably talking about earthquakes and such, but "times of need" can be interpreted very loosely.

The world has been predicted to end in.... 247, 265, 500, 793, 800, 848, 1000, 1033, 1184, 1186, 1260, 1284... 1533, 1585, 1588, 1648, 1657... 1700, 1716... 1836, 1844 (both on May 21 and October 22)... 1881, 1899, 1908, 1910... 1999 (four times), 2000 (six times), 2001, 2003 (twice), 2007, 2010, 2011 (four times). Get my point? It hasn't ended and won't end and 2012 probably won't spark any kind of humanity setting aside their differences any more than it has in the past/

Yogi:

I wrote about 450 words responding to OP's POV.

You wrote nine words questioning my seriousness and telling me to reconsider my position.

Why would I do that? I put thought and effort into my post.

You put a f-bomb and an order.

Thanks but no thanks. If you would like to dissect my post, go ahead. I can take it. But don't just tell me what to do.

In case you haven't guessed, I am speaking about the posts you have made regarding the armed forces. TeenHelp struggles as it is without people like yourself running your cock receptacle about things you know little about. The Japanese Empire were on par with, almost worse than, the Germans. I am well clued in on what they did to my people, as well as the Chinese. I won't be forgiving or forgetting that any time soon.

Ironically, I don't have time to dissect your post and argue your points because I have to leave shortly, to go "make some money killing people".

The world is fucked up, that's all there is to it. People are fucked up, society is fucked up, and it probably won't change anytime soon. I swear, the stupidity of some of the people in this world never ceases to amaze me. I could get into a lot of stuff here, but I don't have the time. All I know is that I don't like our society, and that's not going to change.

Re: This Is My Veiw On The World! - February 9th 2012, 04:09 AM

In response to the OP I can't say much different than what's already been said. It's against our nature as human being to have everything peaceful and sunshine and rainbows. We don't trust that, we don't trust that it will last, that it's real. There's always going to be conflict in this world, but that's the world, it's not good or bad it's just the way it is. Your life, your actions, the way you effect others is the only thing you have control over.

In response to Rosana, I've got to agree with Yogi. Your remarks about the armed forces were, well I can't think of the right word, naive isn't right but something along those lines. I don't know how old you are so I don't know how well you remember 9/11 but I remember it very well. The fear that came from it. The 3,000 deaths that resulted from it, and you have the nerve to say the soldiers in Afghanistan aren't fighting for their country. What in the world do you think they are doing? Do you think the same about the WW2 soldiers who went to war after Pearl Harbor? Don't get me wrong the War in Iraq was complete crap, but the soldiers there don't get to pick where they go that was our fucked up government. But these people that you view as simply "hired killers" I think you would be saying something differently if there was an actual war going on in this country, on our soil. And gotta make a comment about the bombs. While I truly wish the atom bomb had never been invented, thank goodness for the dropping of those bombs. It saved a whole lot more lives than it took.

Billie
1. Yes, cancer is terrible but that doesn't make everyday life a little different kind of terrible. Everyone has hardships, whining "Cancer paitents are in so much pain!" doesn't actually change that.

2. Of course soldiers complain. They're human, not machine. I respect their works but it is only a job. They get my respect for protecting the world, but not just because they hold a job.

3. Why should they be treated differently? What do you mean? You can't make statements like that and expect them to actually be treated as we all are. Unless of course you think we should make blind people leave their dogs (seeing eye or not) outside the store like everyone else.

Anyhow they can't bitch and complain because that's their life. It's not really a big deal to them because that's how everyday is for them. Most disabled people I know hate having others pity them or act condesending about how hard it is. They are people too, but they aren't any more important them anyone else. At the same time, expecting them to live without government grants and special allowances is stupid, making your "Everyone should be treated the exact same" thing silly.

4. I personally think the KKK is doing great work... are you out of your mind? That opinion is one shared by 99% of the modern world. I don't even see how this is a point, most of us just assume you hate racism.

5. You do realize hardly anyone believes in 2012, right? And anyhow if the sun is going to die or explode or whatever the hell the Mayans believed holding hands and singing "kymba ya" isn't going to change jack shit. Also the fact that aliens do or do not exist is highly debateable, and realize all animals fight. Every single species on earth fights. Every cell in your body is fighting infections that it deems harmful. Fighting for survival is literally nature nothing can change that. All animals fight.

6. Maybe we don't deserve to be the best, but damnit we are.

Sure there's a lot of bad in the world, but there's good too. If we had news shows that followed every kind thing one guy did for another it would be really, really busy. Sadly we don't need to know about every guy who saved a puppy, but rather we need to know about the looming threat of war/nuclear destruction so on and so forth.

I completely respect your opinions everyone has there own view on things and this I how I feel.

When I said people should be treated the same I meant as equals yeah, blind people should be able to take there dogs in a shop I didn't say they shouldn't.

I know deep down that nothing will ever change we are animals and it's is in our jeans to fight and kill.

BillieGirl: I realize you never said that, but you did say you wanted everyone to be exactly equal, meaning do you no longer want predjuice, or do you actually want literal equality?

It's not in our genes to kill mindlessly, but it is to protect and to eat. We will kill animals for food, we will kill others if they upset a balance. We are not murderers. There is a distinction.

How many cancer patients have you spoken with? I'm sure many cancer patients do continue to fight but I'm also sure there are many who at some point don't want to live anymore. To say that all cancer patients carry on while everyone else moans about their work is garbage and you have nothing to support your statement.

You're making the armed forces seem like mindless robots by doing their job without complaining or moaning. I have family members in the US army and when they come back from their tours, they're not beaming smiles looking forward to going back without a care in the world. They are worried, they are afraid and they do complain because they are not robots, they are human beings.

I hate to burst your bubble of bullshit but children with life-threatening diseases do not all suffer in silence. There frequently are news stories of the battles these children and their family face. A Canadian example is R. v. Latimer (1997), where Robert Latimer killed his daughter Tracy Latimer who was afflicted with CP. As a result of her multiple surgeries and max dose on pain medications, she was in constant agony and the family was running out of money very fast. More recent examples are world-famous research hospitals dedicated to children with life-threatening diseases, such as Hospital for Sick Children.

They are treated differently in society because on some level, people care for those children as they see a new life in distress that may end far sooner than expected.

Again, we're not robots mass produced from a factory. Each person is different and unique. What evidence do you have to support your bullshit that people were all born the same way? Not all individuals are birthed naturally, some mothers undergo a C-section. Likewise, fetal development is not the same for everyone given the enormous list of fetal development disorders. You're only making a fool of yourself.

People have speculated the world would end on a given year based on deluded nonsense, the same garbage most of your assumptions are rooted in. Helping the world we live in is wonderful but it requires cooperative work, hence, helping and coming together as people.

I'm not sure where you lived in but people frequently do work together in small and larger groups. Over the last several days, I stayed at university campus well past 9 pm working on a lab with my lab partners. It's not a giant group by any means but people frequently do work together, none of us had to stay that late, we simply chose to put our efforts together.
