Advice or a point in a direction - October 21st 2012, 02:09 AM

Hi, I was just really want some advice on what religion agrees with my views.

Some background info:

I've had a very chaotic time growing up so I'm looking for a point in the direction per saY. I lost my role model at a key point my life. Stability is not in my life.
I like the out doors and I like groups but also being alone is good to.(laying out under the stars is the best).

Here's what I agree with:

There is something that bigger then the rest of us.
We somewhere or do something else after death
Nature has a way of teaching us all in the long run. Good and bad.

Here's what I'm not ok with:

Jesus is only a historical figure not connected divinely
Bible not all true ( thou it does have a few good lessons to be learned from it.
People arnt truly evil. They just fell off the wagon.

I'm not looking to be told I'm wrong. Just some advice or a point in the right direction

Thanks y'all

I actually really like this little quiz, which has a wide range and lets you set priorities. I always get Secular Humanism when I take it, but it also gives runners-up.

Atheist Christian, maybe?

Follower/believer in Jesus' teachings and respect as a historical figure, but no connection to any true divinity.

Are you saying you agree with the things you're not okay with, or that you disagree with them. I.E. Do you believe Jesus is divine?

Check out Taoism dude. Start with the Tao te Ching by Lao Tzu. Then you may want to move on to thee writings of Chuan Tzu. Look into a book called The Way of Chuan Tzu by Thomas Merton.

Well, let me ask you this. Do you believe in a god? It's a yes or no question.

I'm not trying to be rude, but here's what I've been told about what you think/know. God does not like warm people. He prefers hot or cold. What this means is, either you believe in him with all your heart, or you don't. Those who take the things they like and reject those they don't, are the worst. So, I tell you this to hopefully give you a sense of what direction you want.

No matter what, I am here for you.
