Hey there,
Well, I think everyone has times when they struggle with their faith. I for one lost all belief in God recently. Perhaps this is a time you are trying to identify yourself as a person and thus aren't reading your Bible? Or perhaps its just your teenage hormones acting up. That happens a lot too.
Do you think you could perhaps talk to your parents or maybe a member of your Church about this and perhaps they could help you?
Hope this helps a bit.

PM me if you ever wanna talk. Send a message my way.
And remember, you matter. You're awesome. You're beautiful. Stay strong, the world will get better.

May The Force be With You.

The Bible MADE me struggle with my faith. I found everything easier when I basically put the Bible aside. Love your neighbor, be a good person and have faith in God, but also know that the true nature of God will almost certainly not match up exactly with the words of a book.

Wish I lived in Canada. UPDATE, NOV. 9th, 2016: This statement has become even more appropriate.

Hi Noah,

The Bible makes it clear [to me at least] that God KNOWS how difficult it is to have faith. Matthew 14:20 Jesus told them. "I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible." So you have to ask yourself.... how many times have you seen people 'move mountains'? [Which means - DO something that might seem impossible] Not often - that's for sure. So rest assured that struggling with faith is something that even the most devout Christian can relate to.

It is completely normal to be questioning your faith. I'm not sure I don't know anyone who hasn't at one point or another. It is also very common to occur during the teen years. Your brain is maturing into adulthood (slowly, but surely). You are starting to process thought on your own. So if someone tells you to believe XYZ, you start to wonder....why? This just means your are starting to think about thinks at a more complex level. Which is all good!

However, it can rattle you to think about things like this. Is what I believe correct? Will I continue to believe this even when I move out of the house and live away from my family? What are my beliefs? These are all normal and natural questions. And the answer is: only you know. You need to start to do some soul searching and figure out what works best for you. I think it can be help to read about other religions and belief systems. Have you ever read holy books from other faiths? What other religions do you know really well? Do any parts of them appeal to you? This may help you find your way. And that path may be to stick with Christianity, to start following a new spiritual path, or perhaps to put all of spirituality aside. You never know what this period of self discovery will bring. But do know that it will take some time. Take all the time you need, this is not a race!
