Anyone believe in Islam? -

Im a muslim but not strict. I believe in everything dat I have to believe in and do most things that I have to do. Recently when ive been feeling suicidal my religion has been poppin up into my head. Islamically we're not allowed to commit suicide or any form of self-harm as it results in great punishment from God. That's the main thing that's stopping me from commiting suicide at the moment so I was wondering if anyone else was caught up in this situation. I really can't live my life anymore but I'm scared of the consequences of my killing myself..

I have to say, I am not Islam, but I am Catholic and we share beliefs.
I am also not strict to my faith. I believe and I pray, but I don't fast or anything. And for the longest time, I was horribly depressed. I didn't know why, and that was the worst part. I was considering committing suicide multiple times. And I honestly think that the only thing that stopped me was this one thought: "Which will be worse? 60 or so more years of this pain, or all eternity of unimaginable suffering in Hell?" I'm sorry to say that I don't share your religion (I've always found Islam fascinating and beautiful), but we're still in the same situation. I guess that's why religions have punishments, isn't it? So that we're too scared to do certain things. I hope this helps. I got through it, and so can you
