What Constitutes A Soul? - June 3rd 2011, 07:19 AM

For those of you who believe in the existence of a soul (or something of similar quality or idea), I'm curious as to what you think a soul really is. What is it like? What is it for? What does it do? And why do we have (or, if you prefer, not have) one?

Difficult one. To me soul is something rather intangible, similar to a person's mind (mind and brain are NOT the same lol...). I guess, soul is something that "defines" who you are. It's more of a concept to me, or an idea, used to give meaning to people's lives.

Never thought about this before.

Yes, a mind is quite intangible. The brain is just the physical vessel that contains the mind. I actually think that the mind itself is a vessel that contains the soul
