Merry Meet Rashel!!

Samhain (Pronounced: Sow-wain) is a Harvest Festival and a Festival of the Dead. We celebrate all that the Goddess and God have given to us this year, and we prepare ourselves for the winter, where the Goddess and God die and we suffer a bleak world, until once again she and her consort are reborn. We also celebrate the lives of those who have passed from this world and our ancestors.

There is no right or wrong way to celebrate Samhain, some feast and make merry, some use it as a time for reflection, and some still focus on our dearly departed and ancestors. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Satanism is not a white light religion; it is a religion of the flesh, the mundane, the carnal - all of which are ruled by Satan, the personification of the Left Hand Path.

Nick pretty much covered it all, from my "wiccan phase" I learned that with any festival, you can celebrate it in whichever way you feel is most appropriate for you. As long as you're comfortable and are doing it to celebrate the reasons behind the festival (or sabbat, I think they're called)
I have a question for you though, Nick. Every site I've ever been on says you pronounce Samhain like "sow-wain" but is that "sou-wain" or "sew-wain"? I've never been sure!

Hehe, "sou-wain" would be the closest correct pronunciation, but I doubt anyone will throw a fit if you pronounce it another way

^^^^^^ I'm so excited too! I've celebrated it before, but it always excites me every year I have my own ritual that I wrote/follow, and its my favorite Sabbat It's a new year for us, and I just love that time of year Do what you think fits the day, and give thanks to Goddess. Wicca is an extremely personal religion, so do what feels right!! Good luck, and let me know if you need anything!! Sythan is really awesome too
