Devotional Ideas

Okay so I had an idea. I wanted to post some devotionals on here on the Religion forum for those who are Christians and I need some ideas on devo topics. I want it to be geared towards teenagers. So yea, if you have any ideas let me knoww. ^_^

Devotionals would be like a daily spiritual pick-me-up. They would include things like how to pray effectively, what it means to be a Christian, who the Holy Spirit is, etc...Just things to boost your spiritual life a bit.

Although being born and raised catholic, I'm not really Christian and don't understand a lot of it. Maybe it'd be a good idea for you to explain what a devotional thread would consist of for myself and other members who don't understand the term.

^ A devotional is typically a short (a few paragraphs) bible lesson that you can read at home. It's like when you don't know where to read in your bible and aren't able to go to church that day, you read a devotional to get scripture and a little lesson. They sell many devotional books, where you read one page each day to get a little bible lesson. There are also online devotionals where they post a new one each day for everyone to read (which is what I think the OP is trying to start).

I think this is a great idea! Some topic ideas would be:

-love (not romance)
-purity (not just sexual, but emotional)
-stability (like how God is our unchanging solid rock)
-boldness (preaching the gospel without fear)
-Grace (relying on God instead of on ourselves)
- Salvation (maybe start out with this for any non-Christians who might read)

Let me know if you need any help writing any devotions. I love to write them and actually want to write devotional books as a career some day.
