genesis - September 24th 2011, 02:11 PM

From Shem the elder son of Noah, Japheth and Ham was the whole earth peopled. And Shem two years after the flood, was the father of Arphaxad. And Arphaxad begat Terah the father of Abram, Nahor and Haram. Haran soon died, and God said to Terah to leave Babylon for the land of Canaan. On their journey to Canaan, they settled in the city of Haram until the death of father Terah; and God told Abram to go to Canaan to take possession of the land. He went with Lot the son of Haran. In Canaan, they went on toward the south to Egypt because of a famine. Sarah the wife of Abram was beautiful and once in Egypt, pharaoh who took her to wife..., and he said to Abraham, "what have done to me?, why didnt you tell me that she was your wife". For God has plaged the house of Pharaoh for her sake. So they returned to Canaan. and Lot chose to dwell eastwards toward Sodom, in the cities of the Jordan valley
In fact Abram has done this to save his life. Do you think he is to be blamed since this was lie?

. . .your first post on TH, and it is merely spewing a random Bible verse?

Not everyone here is Christian or agrees with the Bible or its teachings. Respect that, or leave.

Satanism is not a white light religion; it is a religion of the flesh, the mundane, the carnal - all of which are ruled by Satan, the personification of the Left Hand Path.

What is the point of this thread, other than the OP showing us he/she knows how to type out biblical verses?

"Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it."

--Genesis 3:1-6

The atoms that make up you and me were born in the hearts of suns many times greater than ours and in time our atoms will return once again to reside amongst the stars. Life is but an idle dalliance of the cosmos, frail, and soon forgotten. We have been set adrift in an ocean whose tides we are only beginning to comprehend, and with that maturity has come the realization that we are, at least for now, alone. In that loneliness, it falls to us to shine as brightly as the stars from which we came.

It is difficult to say. The reality is that God will judge all of our actions, whether good or evil. Therefore, whatever the case, Abram will have this action judged. However, in standard Christendom we tend to see things as black-and-white. But I don't think such is the case with God.

Paul tells us, in his Epistle to the Romans, that whatever does not come from faith is sin. That is, God has portioned to each man a measure of faith. Some can eat meat, others can't. Some can watch TV, others can't. But Paul tells us not to judge the one who does watch TV, and not to look down on the one that does not watch TV. Why? Because, Paul says, we are all God's servants, and who are we to judge another servant?

Therefore, it's difficult to say.

I think our G-D isn't G-D,
