You're going to get a lot of different answers to this, and since none of us know for sure, it's going to come down to what you believe. I'm not Christian, so, like Maeve, I don't believe in Hell or sins. But me telling you that isn't going to convince you - which isn't what I'm trying to do anyway. What I'm trying to say is, you have to figure out what you believe for yourself. I'm sure we could all give you a million reasons why your friends may or may not have gone to Hell, and give you a million possibilities as to what happened when they died, but none of those will mean a thing if you don't believe it yourself. So, the real question here is: what do you think?
(On a sidenote, assuming that Hell does exist and you do go there if you don't repent - who's to say your friends didn't? In their last moments, they could have found God and repented their sins, so maybe there's nothing to worry about. Just a thought.) Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh, and cruel. But that's why there's us - champions. Doesn't matter where we come from, what we've done or suffered, or even if we make a difference. We live as though the world is as it should be, to show it what it can be. |

Yes, I believe people who don't believe go to Hell, along with suicides for selfish reasons (sacrificial suicide is different).

I believe that if a God does exist, he is very forgiving. To me if they were sorry they did something wrong in their life they would go to heaven. I also think as God is all-loving he would not send anyone to hell and I believe hell is a myth, and these people would just be disconected to their soul and basically how an atheist imagines death.
Personally I am agnostic, I do believe in a God but I'm not sure which and the way some people talk about him, like Maurice Wiles, I sometimes wander if he is worthy of worship. Just my view. I agree with Chess on her side note When life gives you one thousand reasons to cry, show life one million reasons to SMILE! ![]() Because we all love pigs |

To me, no God will not do around daming people to hell. I imagine he has better things to do, and Jesus died so we can go to heaven even when we sin.
He died for the benifit of EVERYONE not just those who believe or don't. I don't believe a God who can create a world like ours is so immature that he'll damn anyone who doesn't agree with him. - Justin ![]() |

Well my belief system is a little different. I am personally wiccan and I think when I die, my soul will be reincarnated into a different person. however i think that whatever the person believes is going to happen, will happen since i think that believing in a god gives the god power. Like those who are christian will either go to heaven or hell after theyre judged. those who are buddhist will be reincarnated until they live "pure" lives(or whatever it is they have to do, i dont pretend to know all religions perfectly and this isnt one i know really well). it all depends on the person you ask.
"Once in a while we have to do something that scares us. Whoever says that what I want to do /doesn't/ scare me to death, is wrong. It scares me so much more than that."
If you have any questions about ghosts, spirits, Wicca, earth angels or if you just want to talk, PM me. I can help. ![]() |

Re: touchy subject -

I cannot claim that I know for certainty, but I will try to shine some light on the matter. However, I will say, I believe I am truly ignorant to many biblical matters. I do not wish to be held accountable to you or to God for what I say, so please, test to see what I say is true.
I do not know where your friends are. I will tell you that in the end, God will remove evil, and keep good. Those who have good will have the holiness and righteousness of God, while those who are evil are those who have not attained this holiness. Christ said that on judgment day, He will separate the goats from the sheep. He will send the goats to damnation and the goats will say, "But, Lord, we prophesied in your name, we cast out demons, and did many great works." Then God will say to them plainly, "Depart from me you evildoers. For when I was in prison, you did not visit me, when I was hungry you did not feed me, when I was naked you did not clothe me." Then, he will welcome the sheep on His right saying, "You fed me when I was hungry, you clothed me when I was naked..." and the sheep will say, "Lord, when did we feed you? When did we clothe you?" And Christ will say, "Whatever you did to the least of these, you did for me." My point is this: The good will go to Heaven, the wicked will go to Hell. This is for God to judge, not me. But, I'd like to point something out to you. What I've paraphrased is from the Gospel of Matthew. All the people who claimed to do things for God went to Hell. But, those who had no idea what they were doing, wen't to Heaven. Thus, I believe that even those who claim to be atheist, may truly believe in God. I also believe there is a chance for redemption in the next life. Christ hinted that there is a possibility of forgiveness in the next lift, therefore, your friends, may still have a chance for redemption. How? I don't know. Please don't take what I say to heart, but pray, and test what I say. If anything, I am a wolf in sheep's clothing. I am a wicked sinner, and it is very likely I am deceived and know nothing. So, please, pray. Is your G-D really G-D?
Is my G-D really G-D? I think our G-D isn't G-D, if He fits inside our head. |

As an anti-theist atheist, yeah I may go to hell, get reincarnated, visit Buddah, knuckle-bump with Zeus, and so forth. Alternatively, I may stay in the box six-feet under ground (or however it is I'm preserved). The only definite answer is if someone says to you, they have factual knowledge you'll go to hell, heaven or wherever else, they definitely are bullshitting you.
I can rip you off, and steal all your cash, suckerpunch you in the face, stand back and laugh. Leave you stranded as fast as a heart-attack.

Re: touchy subject -

With something like this, there is no definite correct answer. Some people may believe it as fact, but religion is all about opinions, concepts, and beliefs. You might never find your answer, or you might develop a concept that may explain a religious theory. But this is all you. What I recommend is maybe try looking into other religions and comparing them. Learning about multiple religions might lead you to a more filling answer since you are questioning some of your own beliefs right now.
& it is always good to question what you believe in! Now, what I'm about to say is my opinions and my religious beliefs. I acknowledge my beliefs might be incorrect and I believe my beliefs are that-beliefs, not fact. I truly don't mean to offend anyone when I say them since I highly respect different types of religions. I apologize before hand if I offend anyone since I do not mean. Okay, now all that out of the way... I'm truly just Christian, although I grew up Roman Catholic and I'm confirmed in the Catholic church. I look the bible as more moral folklore than guidelines or fact. Since it was written by humans, I believe the bible might have had opinions in it that the lessons of God never intended to have in there. Since the Bible is old and there were times where the Church (including the Catholic Church) were a bit corrupt/unloyal to their actual beliefs. I personally think it is understandable to see the bible as not the most truth word from god since humans are not perfect and the bible could have had side beliefs and opinions written into it. This is why I believe that you will not go to Hell for believing a different religion. I was told that God is merciful, understanding, and forgiving. What I learned in CCD (sunday school) was that there are certain things you need to do to save yourself. My Catholic Church is more open minded than others and they actually highly respect other religions. One time in CCD, we celebrated (I think it was) passover dinner-which is a Jewish holiday. So it wasn't like they were putting in our minds that "if you aren't Catholic, you go to hell" but more accidentally they did. It was more "if we stay true to the catholic beliefs, we are saved". They never really fully said (to what I remember) that you go to hell if you don't. So that's why I started questioning my own faith. I started wondering what you are wondering-are my friends going to hell if they aren't confirmed? After being educated at school about multiple religions (as in, looking at the main idea, beliefs, and history behind the religion, not whether it is fact or not) and after befriending people of various religions and beliefs, I was able to come to my own concept, which may or may not be true. I believe God doesn't care if you believe in him or not. I believe he is merciful, loving, understanding, and forgiving. I can't understand why he would send someone to hell for never being exposed to him-like the many population of Africa who are barely educated about sanitation, let alone a religion from across the sees generally spoke in a different language. They can't just magically start believing in God, you know? Or someone who might have been exposed to Christianity-whether slightly or not- and don't believe in him. I was raised Catholic, and although my ideals don't always agree with the Catholic Church, I am still Christian. If I was Hindu, the chance of fully ditching the beliefs taught while raised would have been more unlikely. Or even people who were Christian, but they either converted to a different religion or became Atheist. I was taught that the Catholic Church actually acknowledges questioning your beliefs. At least the Catholic Churches I took CCD and Confirmation in always preached about having disbelief-becoming an Atheist even. That it is okay to not only have faith because sometimes things happens that test out faith, an later on you might return to that faith when you get through those tough times. So why would you go hell for any of this? If God couldn't understand all these reasons for not believing in him-why would he still sen his children to hell? As long as you are a good person and don't give into selfish needs/corruption, I think you won't go to hell. I can't see God forcing us to worship him out of fear of going to hell. You should believe him because you want to, you should go to church because you want to. You shouldn't feel a need to do anything just because you are scared of hell. If he does and I am wrong, I guess I am going to hell, but hey at least I know I'll be with the people I love and respect. If he understands-then he is who I believe he is. I don't really believe in Hell anyways. Since I believe God is understanding- I think maybe he gives us chances to right ourselves. I mean, what's the average life of a person-80? 80 years sounds like a lot, but it really isn't. You have only 80 years- once chance- to do things right. Sometimes screwing up once can make it difficult to recover fully, you know? Life can be confusing, misleading, and not everyone gets back on the right pass. That's why I believe in reincarnation- which is seen in Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism (I think that's spelled right? ) and other religions. Being reincarnated to give another chance of life. Some people are born into really touch conditions and it's not their fault. You can't control everything and I don't think God can control everything either, since there's 7billion humans on earth, plus all the other living organisms on earth. Kinda outnumbers him. I still believe in Heaven, and I also believe in the possibility of being reincarnated into life again since forever sounds like a long time, even for heaven haha. I also believe in Angels, and living a good moral life helps gains your wings, so you get choices. That's the "saving" part maybe. Although this is just my personal opinion and what I believe right now in life. I'm not saying it is fact, or that my opinion is better than others. This is more what I was able to develop and believe. I truly don't mean to offend anyone and I'm sorry if I accidentally did. I highly respect other opinions and religious beliefs, and I do not mean to offend you in any way.
