Mary Magdalene, alleged prostitute and girlfriend of Jesus. Author of the Gospel of Mary which is not recognized as being canonical and is not included in the Bible like the rest of the gospels. The subject of a subplot in the excellent science fiction novel The Child Goddess.
I like Mary Magdalene. She's underrated. |

Mary Magdalene, wife of Jesus, mother of Sarah, Jesus' one of 4 children. Her status of her as a prostitute was changed and admitted as an error in 1969 by the Second Vatican Council, but the stigma is still there. If you look in a colored photo of the Last Supper, she is sitting to the left of Jesus. (Longer Hair than the rest) Notice, there are only 11 disciples in the picture. Remember, one of them betrayed Jesus. I do have a bit of a problem with how the church portrays the last supper. "Jesus took the cup, gave it to his disciples and said...." yaddah yaddah yaddah, yet there are no cups on the table. O_o For such a revered picture, they might all need to make sure their stories are straight.
ANYWAYS. the gospel of Mary Magdalene, (which was eliminated from the Bible by the Catholic Church, along with the gospels of Philip and Thomas, sounds very close to Jesus, and has a great understanding of his teachings. If you want some good reading on her & proving that her and Jesus were married & procreated, I highly recommend a few books: - Secret Societies by Sylvia Browne. WAIT. HEAR ME OUT. I know people don't like her, but what's wrong with looking at another perspective? There is a section in the back called Life About Jesus Christ. In all, a great read & a perspective that makes sense... to me. - "The Woman with the Alabaster Jar: Mary Magdalene and the Holy Grail" by Margaret Starbird - The works of Michael Baigent: "The Jesus Papers" & "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" And for fun, watch the Da Vinci Code

she was a follower of Jesus and a provider of a great amount of the funds used to spread his message. the alleged gospel of Mary was written by an unknown Greek writer about 75 years after the Resurrection same with that of Phillip if you read there scripture you can see the difference in writing style between that used in Israel vs that used by Greek writers of the day that was her role and and as for the whole she was his wife thing there is 1 text that was found with only a few legible words and the words Jesus Mary and kiss can be found yes that is the base of that legend
“Chaos is the score upon which reality is written.”
