Saying Goodbye - February 13th 2015, 09:45 AM

Attention all users,

This is Mark here. I know a lot of you have seen me around on here as well as HelpLINK. I'm notifying all of you that immediately after I post this, I am leaving TeenHelp. I don't know if I'll ever come back, but I don't think I will. I do not feel comfortable sharing the issue at hand as to why I'm leaving, but it does not have to do with anyone in particular. Let's just say that I'm at a point in my life where I have made one of the most difficult choices, and with making that choice, I'll live with the consequences that come along with it. Someone once told me that not everything in life is going to happen the way you want it to be, and that you have to accept everything for what it is. I truly believe in that. I truly believe that life is not perfect; it never is, and never will be. However, to make our life count for something, we all can do that by simply being nicer than we need to be. Tell your parents that you love them for what they do, spend time with the friends you consider close at heart and let them know how much they mean to you, and even let the ones you care for so deeply how much you love them. By simply doing this, you'd be surprised at how much it makes a world of difference.

I am grateful for each and every one of you I've come into contact with here (you know who you are), and I don't regret it a bit. You've all taught and inspired me to become the better person that I am living up to. I am confident that each and every one of you will make a difference in this world, however you intend to do it. Remember to always love one another, and care for one another as well. I feel that in the society we live in today, it seems that there is more hate and selfishness no matter where you go. People nowadays seem like they don't care, and they will criticize you no matter what. I say don't let those people get the best of you. There are always going to be people in this world that will pull you down, but not everyone is like that. There are people out there who care with a loving heart, just like I do. All you need to do is be yourself, and never lose hope. You also need to not only allow others to help you, but you must allow yourself to help you. Only that way, life will be more promising to live. You've already heard my past words of inspiration I've shared, so I must end it here. There's not much more for me to say.

We must all not only succeed in our personal life, but also be the good, better people that we can become.

It's been a pleasure to all of you here on TeenHelp, and continue doing what you're doing here. With this final sentence, I say goodbye.

All the best from your friendly guy,
Mark

Hey Mark,

Really sorry to hear that you are leaving. You definitely gave good advice on both the forums and HelpLINK and Iím sure you will be missed.

You are right that life is not simple nor perfect and simple acts of kindness and love can go a very far way, and if we donít take chances and opportunities, we may regret them. I also agree that even though itís important to try to succeed in our personal goals that we also try to be a good person too. Iím really glad that you feel you have improved yourself by being inspired by others.

Even though you are leaving, donít forget that you are always welcome to come back, either for support, or just for a chat.

Take care
