I have been on a long journey... -

that has brought me back to TeenHelp after like... nine years?
Hi, I'm Amanda! I used to use these forums pretty much every day back when I was 16/17 years old. Back then I was a teenager trying to navigate undiagnosed adhd, depression, anxiety and trauma. Being a teenager is hard enough without having a mental illness and sometimes I look back and am amazed that I even made it through that period of my life.
I have grown so much since the last time I looked at that TeenHelp logo, and I want to be able to share some of the things that I've learned and experienced with anyone who may need the support. This community helped me make it through and I hope I can give back for that in some small way.
I look forward to talking with you guys!!! Let's be friends

Welcome back, Amanda! I was around back in 2012/2013, but I am not sure if I remember you! Either way, it's great to have you around here once again and it's fantastic you're eager to jump in to give support and advice to others!

You're such a tough cookie for having braved all those days  It's amazing that you now want to come back and contribute to this amazing community. Like you, I lived with a mental illness in the latter half of my teenage years. I've only recently made huge steps overcoming it.

I agree- the teenage years are difficult on their own, and dealing with undiagnosed adhd, mental illness and trauma must've been so difficult for you. But it's good to know that you've come out the other side and want to help others
