I'm here so I have someplace to come on the tired days and be around other people just as weird or troubled as me :P I often get lonely. I have many online friends but have trouble making a connection or lasting relationship with people in my local life. Sometime we could brainstorm on how to meet people of likemindedness or whatever.
I'm also here because I have come through a lot and have been granted a small measure of understanding and insight. If if could help anyone it is my joyful duty to offer it to them. I've dealt with depression, anxiety, paranoia, voices, phobias, mood swings, delusions, an eating disorder, self-harm, you name it. I've still got the voices and sometimes the moodswings and phobias, the paranoia and delusions come back randomly but i'm glad to say i've stopped cutting (2 1/2 years ago!) and have recovered and healed from my anorexic tendencies. Oh, and i also have memory problems so sometimes parts of my recovery I've forgotten! I just turned 18, I hear voices and see stuff on a daily basis but i've learned to cope. I still go to school but i'm taking my classes at a slower pace but a higher level. College classes are more orderly than attending a busy drama-filled highschool but i'll be taking an extra year to graduate highschool. I like to cook and make things everything from breakfast to candles. |

It sounds like you've been going through a lot lately, so I think it's great you have become a member of TH in order to seek advice. There are a lot of ways to get help here, including HelpLINK and LiveHelp. HelpLINK is an email support system in which you can send a request to HelpLINK mentors, who will in return offer you any kind of advice that you are looking for. LiveHelp is a chat system in which you can have a one on one conversation with a LiveHelp operator who will help you to find a solution to any problem you may currently be dealing with. You may also want to visit the chat room, which contains a support room and a chit chat room, which can be a lot of fun! Such a pretty name. Sounds like you've been through a lot in your life time but that's awesome you are learning to cope with so much. You'll be a great help to all those people hear who are still dealing with things you have overcome. We're so glad you are here. Feel free to check out the blogs if you'd like.
