Hi everyone!

Obviously I'm new here . My name is Amy. I'm an undergraduate university student in Australia. I live with my parents, 3 younger siblings (16, 6, and 3), my boyfriend who has just moved in with us, and my two adorable cats.

I'm here for two main reasons. The first being that I love helping people and have been looking for somewhere where I can do just that. I'm currently studying to be a secondary school teacher and will quite possibly go into a social work degree after finishing that. So helping people is a very important part of my life.

The second reason is that I sometimes feel like I need help myself and feel like I don't have anyone to actually ask. I have plenty of friends, but I'm not very close to most of them after finishing high school and don't feel like I can talk to them about some things. I also have the most amazing and supportive boyfriend, but sometimes I like/need different opinions (especially since he can only give a guy's opinion).

I'm looking forward to making some new friends here. It seems like such a huge site, but hopefully I'll get the hang of it fairly quickly.

Well welcome to Teen Help! We are a pretty amazing bunch I must admit. I'm really glad you found us and your willing to give help and be helped. Of course there are people here who are going to be there for you when you need them. Thats whats so amazing about the site!
No doubt your going to get a whole bunch of replies on this from people of all colors so, heres the run down.

Purple- Just like you! Members of this amazing website who are here to help and be helped

Green- Buddies. They are here to welcome you and answer any questions you have.

Pink - Help link mentors- They run the help link system which is towards the top on the left. You send in a problem/question/issue and they give you replies

Teal - Live help operators- Also towards the top of the screen. Live help is a system where you can talk one on one to an operator, like me, about anything going on in your life.

Blue - Chat mods. There is a chat room. If you haven't seen it yet, its amazing Chat mods rule it! They make sure everyone follows the rules.

Green - Supermods. They do all the above and more. They are super nice.

Red - Administrators. They run the website and make sure everything is working and allowing us to connect with one another.

Black - staff on leave. This means that a staff member(any color other then purple) is taking a break from their tasks. They are still awesome though.

Uhm. I know I'm forgetting one. Hm. Well. Someone will fill you in. I'm also 99.9% positive this is somewhere on the site but I had quite a bit of time on my hands and felt like giving you the run down.

So. Forums are great for getting advice. With all the different sections, I'm sure you'll find places to get help with whatever your needs may be.
Also. Everyone has a profile. On there you can VM, Visitors message, pr PM, Private message. If you already knew that, sorry. When I first came I was like, what in the world is a PM! I only knew IM. I'm sure you'll be making friends in no time!

So yeah. Welcome. I'm sure you'll love it. I promise not everyone is as hyper and out there as I am. Tis 2:45 in the morning and I just drank coffee!!

Some of my family lives in Australia, and an old teacher that I still keep in touch with does. She mentions Gold Coast, Harvey Bay or something like that!? Can't really remember
