I'm sorry you feel that way. You're absolutely right that joking about such things in chat is completely unacceptable, but perhaps try reporting it or mentioning it to a staff member? These things can often be sorted.

Unfortunately you'll find rude people wherever you go, that's just life. TH is usually very accepting of opinions and inclusive. But things that insult or offend other members aren't tolerated. Don't let one bad incident discourage you.

It is true that it is nothing to joke about. I think as a few people have said that reporting it might be good. But I also understand that you are scared. The chat isn't always like that though, I mean it has really saved me a few times from doing stupid things. If you decide that you are going to leave we totally respect that, and will miss you. But you need to do what is right for you.

Scared of being triggered is perfectly understandable. It can happen. Maybe take a break and if you feel like it later, come back when you feel a little better and more able to handle potential triggers, and avoid the chat room if it worries you.

We'll all always be here for you, but the most important thing is you take care of yourself and make sure you're comfortable and happy. Best of luck.
