Hi! I'm Naomi and I'm quite a newbie at this site
 . I registered around May but forgot all about having a account here so now I'm here in need of some advice. But I just wanted to say hi to everyone  . I also have a weird fear, I can't post my problems in a public-for-everyone-to-see forum without freaking out and being paranoid about it so I would really prefer to post my problems/ask for advice privately  BTW, I've been wondering about this and hope someone can answer. Can I use Live Help for the not so important problems/problems that are the smallest ones (EX. Friends, crushes, family members, etc.)? But I'm also afraid of asking for advice from Live Help and private messaging other members because of how simple my problems are and I admit, I'm afraid of getting shunned. |

Hey Naomi! Welcome to TeenHelp! I'm Brittany and I'm a HelpLINK Mentor here on TeenHelp. HelpLINK is an advice system similar to an email system. It's completely private and you can get advice quickly and without any judgement. LiveHelp is also great if you like talking one on one with a Staff member. Please, don't think your problems are 'simple' or that they'll get you shunned. You're welcome to share your problems, no matter how small or how big they may seem to you. We are here for you!

Hi Naomi! I'm Barbara, another HelpLINK Mentor here. As other people mentioned, HelpLINK & LiveHelp are great ways to get advice without posting on the forums where everyone can see. I'm Chess, another buddy. If you ever need anything, feel free to ask. In case you need help figuring out how to use the site, you might like to check these two threads: how to use the forums (which explains things like the different staff teams, visitor messaging, and private messaging), and obtaining advice or support (which explains the methods of receiving help, such as Live Help and HelpLINK, which the others have already mentioned). Another method is the Chat Room - if you don't feel comfortable posting in a Support & Advice room, you can always ask to IM someone and talk to them privately there; many people are happy to help. All of the methods of receiving advice here can be used for any problem, no matter how big or small. HelpLINK and Live Help in particular are staffed by volunteers who absolutely love to help people, so you're not going to get shunned or judged. If you ever feel like it, you're welcome to PM me, whether you have questions about the site or want to ask for advice on anything in your life. I look forward to seeing you around.
