did you ever hate the girl
with the big curious eyes
who tried so hard to make some friends
but was really just too shy.
did you ever hate the girl
who just wanted to love you.
it's okay, don't you worry,
i hated her too.
do you happen to hate the girl
who doesn't know herself anymore.
she lies to make life seem okay
while her mind is an emotional hell.
do you happen to hate the girl
who just wanted to feel loved by you.
it's okay, you're not alone,
because i hate that girl too.
will you still hate the girl
with the tragic past of scars.
who's going to need someone worthier than most
to unlock her forever broken heart.
will you still hate the girl
who never knew love before you.
it's okay if you won't have the patience
because honestly i'll still hate her too.
how many will ever hate the girl
before the hatred ends.
because it's hard for her to keep blindly living
when she feels she'd be better off dead.
who else in the world will hate this girl
who has only known hatred from you.
probably many more, but that's okay

Hey Jess!
Aww, this is really nice, I love the way you express your self-hate But seriously, it IS nice You make it easy for me to relate, mainly because it's wonderfully written but also partly because I hate myself too.

I love how you ended this, after such a great build up. Very well written. Good job!
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive

This is sad but nicely done. Hope you're okay.
If clarity's in death, then why won't this die?
Years of tearing down our banners, you and I
Living for the thrill of hitting you where it hurts Give me back my girlhood, it was mine first

Awesome poem! I'm sorry you feel so much self hate, but that's an awesome, awesome way to express yourself and get it out of your system.
Beautiful work Whatever is going on, you'll get through it.
Resilient
1. (of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.
2. (of a substance or object) able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed.
We all possess resilience, we just need to realize it.

I loved reading this, seeing and feeling the all familiar emotions. Love and hugs. Thank you so much for posting, Jess.
~Through the wind and the rain she stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above.
But her dreams give her wings and she flies to a place where she's loved.
Concrete Angel
"And so I grew from colt to stallion
As wild and as reckless as thunder over the land.
Racing with the eagle, soaring with the wind.
Flying? There were times I believed I could."
