If You Just Lost Someone, Read This - August 28th 2019, 04:16 AM

I understand how tough it must be for you,
losing the friend you were close with, or even
that romantic partner you were with.

Whatever was the reason why, regardless, I want
to share this with you, and although this might be a
message you donít want to hear, I share this with you
because if you open your mind and hear me out, this
can be one of the most valuable lessons youíll ever learn:

Donít depend on someone wholeheartedly.

I know, I understand that itís awesome when
you have someone thatís there for you, someone
that you can openly talk to about anything and everything,
even through your darkest moments in your life. Take
the time to recognize that, appreciate, and be
grateful. Express that gratitude to the other person.

However, if youíre always over-depending on
someone to keep you in line, to keep you from
ďfalling off the deep end,Ē it can be detrimental.

Youíll always be in need of your partner/friend
to fix you and your problems, but thatís your
responsibility that you have to deal with yourself.

If you get so attached to someone that you get
to the point ďyou canít live without them,Ē chances
are you will be pushing yourself away if something happens.

I say this not to be negative, but to give you
clarity because itís sad to see someone
waste so much of their time and energy
over something they donít have a control over.

You arenít in control of what events unfold for somebody,
even for the ones that are close to you.

Recognize youíre only in charge of yourself.

Itís okay to spend time with those that are close to you,
and enjoy every moment of it, but donít get so high
off it that you end up stopping your life if something happens.

If youíre feeling sad right now that you just lost
a close friend or maybe you lost your romantic partner,
itís okay to not be okay. Give your heart time to heal
and for it to accept what it already knows.

However, donít stop your whole life for one person.

Donít go looking for the next relationship straight away
as a way to fill in the holes from the last one.

Make it your responsibility to carry yourself
through all the heartache and the pain.

Because the truth is the people that are close
to you right now arenít always going to be there for you.

Be your own hero and save your heart from the darkness.
