The Perfect Storm - November 21st 2009, 04:08 PM

Our first kiss was like lightning, there for a split second with brilliant intensity and then gone, never to strike again. We had so many wonderful kisses after that, but none of them could amount to that one. The first kiss amounted to the intensity of the brightest bolt of lightning. It was as if no one else was around. Of course it had an awkward start, but what kiss doesn’t? You’ve got to get used to the person first. The awkward stage was surpassed and everything felt so right in the world. It felt as if no one could stop us. We were a force to be reckoned with. No one got in our way for they feared we would not listen. Of course they were right. We went out and did what we wanted without a care in the world. We could have been compared to a tropical storm. Wherever we went people gave us sideways glances or leaned over and whispered something. It didn’t matter to us what they said. We were so happy and in love that nothing mattered anymore. All that mattered was that we were in each others presence. Nothing had to happen between us. We understood that the love we had for each other would not fade no matter what. In the end we were left with a sad drawn out roll of distant thunder to remind us of what we once held.

-let me know what you think(:

If you look beyond my eyes you will see stories of the unknown. Look beyond my happiness and you will find my anger and sorrow.

Grace, this is a beautiful piece of writing. I was drawn to this piece by the title - I absolutely love it. Words cannot describe what I felt. There's so much emotion in it. You clearly are very talented.
