Lather, Rinse, Repeat -

A poem I just wrote about my journey to healing from my "incident". May be triggering. ------------------------ Lathering the shampoo in my hands I scrub my scalp for the fourth time today. "Violated" is the phase my therapist likes to use. "When you were sexually violated..." I just say "that night" she knows what I mean. I let the hot water run over me begging, pleading that this time, the dirtiness will rinse away. A body memory hits and suddenly I am there again, his tongue on my nipple hand in my jeans. A dull thought occurs: if ever I were to have a baby, breast feeding would remind me of him. I reach for the shampoo again. lather, rinse, repeat. ![]() When the patient's body has betrayed them, and all the sciencewe have to offer has failed them, when worst-case scenario comes true, clinging to hope is all we've got left. -grey's.anatomy- |

This makes my heart ache a bit as I can relate to parts of it. It really is a beautiful poem. Keep writing Megan.

Hang in there, Jenna There could never be amore beautiful you
Don't buy the lies, disguisesandhoops they make you jump through You were made tofill a purposethat only you could do So there could never be amore beautiful you -Johnny Diaz Everyday is so wonderful And suddenly it's hard to breathe Now and then I get insecure From all the pain, I feel so ashamed I am beautiful no matter what they say Words can't bring me down I am beautiful in every single way Yes, words can't bring me down, oh no So don't you bring me down today To all your friends you're delirious So consumed in all your doom Tryin' hard to fill the emptiness, the piece is gone Left the puzzle undone, ain't that the way it is? 'Cause you are beautiful no matter what they say Words can't bring you down, oh no You are beautiful in every single way Yes, words can't bring you down, oh no So don't you bring me down today -Christina Aguilera |

Wow, this was so strong. Stay safe Megan, okay? And, I can relate and like this.
She whispered to her own reflection "I will be strong."

Wow, this is beautiful.
My friends think I'm the strong one who never cries; truth is, I cry myself to sleep because I wish somebody would see that I'm really breaking on the inside. |
