Poem: Help Her - March 29th 2010, 08:05 AM

A poem I wrote...

Silently,
She sits there -
supported only by
the ground beneath her.
No friends, No family
Only herself

Tears roll down,
falling away -
like she wishes she could.
No one to hold her
and stop her slipping.

Traumatized,
she remembers everything -
pain, fear and hurt
all suffered from young

Alone,
She longs for compassion -
for someone to care.
Someone to understand
and hold on to.
Someone to live for

Re: Poem: Help Her - April 2nd 2010, 04:15 AM

This is full of so much emotion, and so much longing. I think we've all been here in life, wishing that we had more, or at least someone, to live for. The desperation is clear here, to have a reason to simply be alive. This creates a lot of sadness for the person reading, and honest, painful emotion. That always makes a great poem!
