These words just came to me today so i decided to write.
Clinically In Rest If you wanted me to leave, you only had to ask. I wouldn't question the look in your eyes. Though, you may see my face behind the mask, but only briefly will my shadow rise. I will always cringe with thought of you. I will never forget the good times too. Only in the death of my feelings, can i let myself give up on you. Apart of me would never wish this in truth. The darkness inside keeps my smile away. Though you lit me up from miles away. I hope you don't regret the decisions you made. In the end, my heart was yours to take. I don't want what's left in your hands. The mangled pieces left at my wake. Retract your claws before you step foot on land and tear through what's left of my soulless dance. I can hear the endless footsteps of our van gogh; painting a picture of that pathway, that road. I remember the day you spoke to me; my eyes closed. I had such fear in my voice then, I almost froze. Hopefully our next meeting wont let me loose my poise. Clinically in rest, life's white noise. |
