My story (as a poem) -
October 24th 2011, 06:07 AM
She used to be a happy girl.
Carefree. Smiling and laughing. She could take whatever life threw at her. She bounced back. She loved and was loved. She even loved herself. The eternal optimist: "Even if it looks bad now," she would say, "It will get better." And it would, for her. She loved life. She knew she was going somewhere Something happened, though. An invisible creature attacked And put out her light. The monster killed that little girl. All that's left is the shell: Me Now, this shell of a girl pretends she's fine. She plasters on a smile And doesn't let anyone in. No one knows she's broken inside. She hides her pain from everyone who cares. They don't care about who she is now. They loved that little girl Before the monster stole a part of her. So she pretends. She acts like she's still whole, But when she's alone She cannot fake any longer, She cannot fight, And she lets the monster take over. It feeds off of her Until she feels completely hopeless and numb. She does not want to live. The monster has killed the girl she was. She is merely the shell. She is nothing. She can't spend the rest of her life pretending to be That happy little girl Who is gone forever. Blackbird singing in the dead of night Take these broken wings and learn to fly. All your life You were only waiting for this moment to arise. ♥the Beatles ![]() Tumblr |

That was beautiful...I could really relate to it.
And somehow now you're everybody's fool. ~Evanescence
You don't know what it's like to be like me. Welcome to my life. ~Simple Plan I'm not perfect, but I keep trying. ~Hedley Maybe we'll turn it around, 'cause it's not too late; it's never too late. ~Three Days Grace Nothing's ever easy, and if it is, you're not trying hard enough. The best way to get revenge on someone who has hurt you through the years is to smile at them as though you have never cried any tears. |
