[Le Papillon]

a kiss did hurt
but this was worse
a threat of death
even beyond the grave
of the people once friends
with backs now turned
her light snuffed out
and no one left to shout

[Ennui.]

Through those burning lips come
Words that fall on such deaf ears
Nobody around to staunch the tears
Nobody there to ease their fears
But she takes a breath and starts to
Cry out anyway, hoping that somewhere
Through the mist he will come, her saviour
Her knight in shining armour to take her away
From all of the threats and pain, from beyond
The grave, it is her life that he will save

through the mist
she sees his form
she cries out loud
glad to see him
sad that it is him
for this means
he followed her
down underground
to end his life too

She starts to play the What-If game
And she hopes that they'll all forget her name
She's so afraid, she's losing hope
Maybe if she's lucky she'll choke

She doesn't wish to say goodbye,
he holds her as she has a cry,
she says, "no, why did you do this, hun?"
He replies, "Love has won."

for love is the winner of this game
no longer will things be the same
now there are brighter times ahead
an endless world of smiles instead

A strong and stubborn meant-to-be
Through it all it stands to measure

Though truly quite remarkable

They are one in the same
The players of loves game
Now they have won
But are still lost
As their lives they have tossed

Together, they must find a way
To start over in a better life
To celebrate the dawning of a new day
To keep each other safe.
The demons may crawl out and try to take the girl
But her savior will protect her
Shielding her from the monsters taking over her soul
The strength of their love makes the nightmares just a blur.

While blurred they are,
The nightmares still come
To rampage upon her
So she must get stronger

as the tears fall from her face he cries
she wishes he'd have let her say goodbye
his strength is her weakness, but she loves him still.
the matter of life and death is left to God's will

Loves powerful force was winning against the evil game.
He wiped away her tears with his silent hand.
She could feel. Feel her heart beat to nearly exploding in her chest.

fully at peace,
they walked into the shiny light
the world faded away,
and all darkness stayed out of sight

They knew it would end this way,
Because they knew they had to say,
"Farewell, earth,
This leads to our re-birth."

Even shadows can lurk in the light.
Sight can be blurred with hope,
Hope can be blurred with reality

Real and desire

Held apart by life

it can be taped back together
but the creases cannot be fixed
so although there is rebirth and renewal
the memories haven't faded
and it fuels
emotions

Creating something so beautiful for only the two.
They walked, proud of what they've become.

Tears Mingling with blood: The salt and the iron
The death and the love and the memories
Now naught but red and saline,
A final hope: the soul's last pleas

Somebody heard her pleas,
To her rescue they came,
Scooping her hands into theirs ,
Down on their knees,
Keep fighting please they did but plea,
One day this will all be better just you wait and see.

Not all is as it seems,
Not all these dreams,
Not all these screams,
Building, oh, they build,
Her eyes were filled,
With the tears left inside,
And with that they cried.

that one day I met you.
I was going home and I was all covered in tears
I saw you, and knew to use you was the only way out
I was in control of you
Years have passed now... you control me.
You caused all of my scars and cuts.
Everytime people ask..I wanted blamed you.
Every day.. I wish I have never met you. You piece of worthless metal..

You're the only one that truly knows,
Why I feel the way I do,
And I feel slightly better with you.
But something I wish I never used,
Because you've left me worse off, broken and confused....

Yet I am nothing, but a poet,
Writer of these permanent scars.
You can not die now love, and you know it,
A writer fell in love with you and now you are,
Infinite.

A paper, pen, and a gliding hand,
used to express;
with the hopes for one to understand
my utter distress.
But definitely not to impress.
Just for me and only to show
what lives behind my lies -
what you don't know.
My poems are my cries.

My poems are not to elicit attention,
For complex words and stunning phrases I cannot create,
My pen flows to convey feelings of shame and apprehension,
Word vomiting my thoughts while praying to find someone who can relate,
My words are the only thing to keep my feelings under control,
If I share my poetry, it's in hopes that I both find and give support,
As well as expressing fears and dreams which soothes my soul,
My poems document my struggles, in case my life falls short.

Because real life feels more like a dream
It's the pain you feel before you sleep,
it's the silence that holds you while you weep.
