Poem I wrote for my friend after telling her I've self-harmed. I went to far telling her about something, and I still feel so bad about it.
I've tried so many times to resist But the temptation continues to persist Countless times I've pushed the feeling aside But I keep quiet 'cause I don't want to lose my pride I know I've made a few mistakes After each I'm filled with regret and my body shakes Believe me when I tell you I don't want to be this way But sometimes it's all I can do to drive the pain away I'll do what I can to start over again Because part of me knows this isn't the end But I need support from someone I trust That is the only way I can stand and brush off the dust And somehow now you're everybody's fool. ~Evanescence

I love this, so much. When I told my friend about self harming, I ended up writing a couple poems to her as well. You should give it to her, it lessens the tension quite a bit. Great work, keep sharing with us <3

Thank you. And it was all I could think of to do. I sent the poem to her earlier and I know she's seen it but she has yet to reply. I just hope it helped her a bit.

nice poem i also found even though my poetry isn't the best it is a way i learn to let people how i feel.
