Cris-cross Applesauce - December 17th 2011, 10:09 PM

Cris-cross applesauce
No one noticed she was lost
Within herself, unsure of what to do, stuck in the blue.
She wants to tell someone. She wants them to hear
That her daddy hurts her so bad it can be hard to bare
He always whispers in her ear, telling her not to share
The dirty tales of what goes on when mom is asleep in bed
But the images are filling her head, every night is something she dreads
When daddy comes in and sheds all her clothes
And tells her to put on a show, her heart always sinks low
All the way down to the floor, to the place her daddy makes her drop to her knees and suck his please
He says it puts his mind at ease, but it makes him look like such a sleaze
He says its how he shows his love to her, but then why does it make her shutter?
As he gropes her tiny body he begins to stutter 'You're my little girl. An angel from above' But his smile makes her want to hurl
After every night when he's done with her she curls into a ball
But the tears never fall, she's numb from the inside out
Without a doubt she needs a way out
But her lips are sealed, there's no way to peal them apart,
To let the truth unfold, to let this girl's world finally not be so cold.
She can't let her daddy mold her brain
You know he just leaves her where he came, filling her with shame
This isn't your fault little girl, trust me you are truly a pearl
In this universe, your heart glows so bright even in the night
And I know you're in pain, but by opening your mouth you can end this sick game.
You don't deserve to have your childhood stripped from you like your clothes.
You don't deserve to have to endure such brutal behavior from someone you love.
You don't deserve to have to go through any of this..
But if you make it through, you'll realize life is never pure bliss, but its something you really don't want to miss.
Cris cross applesauce
She is at a loss
Debating to toss her life away
She doesn't realize she can say 'hey daddy, that's not okay'
To put an end to his torturous way
For now she lives life day to day
Just trying to figure out a way..

Wow, this is a really great poem. Lots of emotion behind the story.

You have the right to feel any emotion you want, and do what makes you happy. That's my life motto."

I really like this poem, and your writing style. I can very much relate to it. Thanks for sharing it.
