To sleep, perchance to dream -
December 26th 2011, 08:15 PM
A Hamlet related poem for school, looking for feedback. Be warned, it does have some anti-Christian wording in it.
To sleep, perchance to dream To sleep, perchance to dream To dream of a better day A brighter one To die and dream To sleep, perchance to dream Of sun-lit worlds to explore Dream of pearly gates And angel wings. To dream the good and not the bad Closing your eyes and resting in a cloud, Lulled to sleep by the screams of thieves, liars, adulterers. Lay upon your pillow and think not of the starving thief, the childhood liar, the adulteress of an abusive husband. They deserve to have their flesh burned off. You shall sleep, perchance to dream, of the heaven waiting for you. |
