Ghouls and Dresses - January 5th 2012, 12:18 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Crimson red blood staining her perfect white dress,
Her whole world was turned into a torturous mess
That no one would have ever guessed, and we all know asking 'are you okay?' is just a jest
So this girl never cared to share her pain and suffering
Her mind was always stuck on buffering, trying to heal her heart and soul
But evil ghouls had painted them all black
And the true her was never to come back

She could imagine herself stuck in a broken down shack

The ghouls all hungry for a little snack,
And with strength and will being what she lacked
She gave up as they stacked her pain around her
The pressure of it bound her to the ground
All her hate towards herself landed on top of her like a massive mound
Her heart and head were starting to pound
As she heard the ghouls being crowned
And claiming her as their own,
Their power over her starting to grow
And a little tiny part of her screaming out No!

But it was much too late for that

And as she looked at herself in the mirror she spat
At the reflection of herself
Disgusted by the sight she had to see
Tears streaming down her face, as she wondered Why do I have to be me?
Can't I be free?
Is their a secret key so I can go back to being the old me?
Please, oh please, just let me be!

The ghouls are all laughing and shrieking with joy
As this innocent girl is treated like an abused toy, in a most painful, devilish twisted ploy
To corrupt her mind and kill all her joy
To send her spiraling into self destruction and hate, making sure she had nothing to eat on her plate
So she'd starve herself thin, as small as a pin,
Wash away memories with gin, scrape the rest of the dope from the tin
Lighting it up to get warm but being unable to form thoughts
And the only happiness she feels is from all those shots
Of thick fluid she pushes into her veins
What she doesn't realize is its causing more pain
But she's stuck thinking she has nothing to gain

Now in her mind its starting to rain

And the ghouls are unbearable to contain, people must think she's insane
As she's excusing herself from the table cause of chest pain
And runs up to her domain, her sanctuary of silence
But the ghouls are much too loud inside her head
Telling her she’s better off dead
She lead herself here, all the voices in her head are causing her tears
To flow down her dress, she can feel the press of gravity on her body,
The nothingness inside her, the unbearable hopelessness, the black spreading throughout

She searches through her drawers for her knife
Finally going to end her tragic horrible life
And as the blade crossed her wrist, skin prickling open
To let the flow of red out,
She could feel the ghouls fading away
So yes, this was the price she had to pay
She had to cut all the voices away
She didn’t want to stay in this world anyway
Maybe she would have been okay
But she wasn’t that day, when she finally thought she reached the bay of happiness
The pain deep inside her released its grip
All the ghouls lost their lips
Her mind was sent away off on a ship
Her blood left her body drip for drip

Crimson red blood staining her perfect white dress,
How could anyone explain such a mess

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

Wow, this was really good. I'm amazed. Great job!

I got off track I've made mistakes Back slid my way to that place where souls get lost lines get crossed and the pain won't go away.

I really like this. There's something about it that really touches me..I can't put my finger on it though.
On of my favorite parts;

Quote:
"But she wasn’t that day, when she finally thought she reached the bay of happiness
The pain deep inside her released its grip
All the ghouls lost their lips
Her mind was sent away off on a ship
Her blood left her body drip for drip"

And the very last few words as well;
Quote:
Crimson red blood staining her perfect white dress,
How could anyone explain such a mess

Well done :] Brilliant.
