January Photography Contest - January 5th 2012, 05:22 PM
Due to popular demand, I suppose I'll host a second contest for the month of January. I only got like... 4 different people to submit last time, so we'll see how long this goes on But it was requested by a few people that I do another one so I guess I will.


I'm totally copy and pasting this bad boy. I'm moving out of home tomorrow, so I totally don't have time to retype everything lol


First of all, I want to remind everyone that Self Expression is exactly what the name states - Self Expression. It is in no way to be some sort of contest or anything! I just thought it'd be fun to have a little photography contest.

Rules of Entry and whatnot
  • I'm sort of looking for actual artistic photos, not your Facebook snapshots. Though everyone's view of art is different obviously!
  • Only submit your favorite 1 - 3 photos, old or new
  • PM me with links to your photos
  • Send in your photos, whether your an experience veteran, or a beginner who just became interested
  • Results will be shared here on TH, so try to make it appropriate for TeenHelp forums
  • Please PM me the results by the end of January, results will be posted here in early February.
  • Results will be posted here a few days after the new year
  • If this goes well, we can do this every month, with results being posted on the 1st, and a new contest starting a few days later.
  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will get... Idk, maybe an online certificate or something and have some recognition among TH forums
  • Though everyone will be reminded of their great work!
  • If I have time, I'll send a full, honest, good or bad critique of every one of your photos! Unless I get like. 100+ photos

No I'm not some special photographer. I've taken a few high school classes, and own multiple cameras, but I'm sure there are better photographers here alone!

I noticed, it's okay. Mistakes happen

Also, to everyone who has submitted, I HAVE gotten them, I've just been too lazy to respond. I might do that today or tomorrow. My plan was to send some nice, heartfelt, and honest critiques. Last contest I sent like, a huge paragraph for each person but I dunno if I'll do that. On one hand, I want to be totally honest but on the other hand, I'd hate for someone to take it personally

I sent mine a while ago, I just want to let you know that I promise not to take anything personally and please please be brutally honest :P Fluffy compliments don't help me get better lmao
