The Last Hope

Here's an old poem I wrote a while back. Quite small. Please do comment about it. Need a bit of feedback.

Walking alone in the darkness of this world;
Sometimes, falling, crawling, but I must stand up to avoid the darkness;
When this shadow creeps on you, it shall consume the very core of your essence;
No one can sleep, no one can live, no one can survive;

The best and only hope is a star that may never shine;
The only light is the moon that may never cease;
Once a vanguard of the light of day;
Is now a vanguard of the darkness of night;

When the twillight of this world finnally comes to light;
The darkness slowly fades into the brightness of hope;
Once a world full of hatred;
Is now a world full of prosperity;

Eventhough the darkness is still creeping in the corners of the shadows;
It still slips souls through the cracks of death;
While falling into the black;
The lost souls shout there last scream;

I love this! It's beautifully written! I particularly liked this part:

The best and only hope is a star that may never shine;
The only light is the moon that may never cease;

It's beautiful and poetic!

I only have one suggestion:

Sometimes, falling, crawling, but I must stand up to avoid the darkness;

I feel like saying "Sometimes, fall, crawl" sounds a tad bit off. Naturally, you don't have to take the suggestion.
