Trapped -

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of eating disorders, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.
Tracy was only 15 years old, she was an excellent student, her homework was always done on time and it was always done neatly. Her parents were very proud of her even though they always seemed to want more out of her. She was very popular and she was also very beautiful, she would have been perfect for a model. Though there was something that no one knew… she was trapped, inside her own body.
Tracy couldn’t see all the good things other people saw in her, she always asked herself ‘why do people even want to hang out with me?’ She thought very little of herself, she thought that she was a very bad person who in reality deserved nothing but sadness. In trying to fix this, she strived for perfection, and for perfection in almost every aspect of her life. But there was one thing that she hated the most, and that was the way she looked. Whenever she saw herself in the mirror all she could see was fat. Despite her friends who told her that she didn’t need to lose weight, she still was on a diet and a diet which consisted of eating almost nothing. But what people didn’t understand was that starving wasn’t just about losing weight. She wanted control, and not eating seemed to be the best way to prove that she had control over her life. Her mum who treated her badly seemed to have total control over her life, her opinions were never considered and she had to do what her mother wanted, no matter if she liked it or not. She also believed that once she’d become thin she’d finally find happiness, even though she thought she didn’t deserve this happiness and that probably she wouldn’t even find it. ______ Just a thing I wrote a while ago, what do you think, should I show this to my english teacher or will I freak her out? |
