I wrote this poem for a friend who has been there for me so much. Tell me what you think....

This Universe And A Million More

I stare at a picture of you,
Thinking how you helped me through,
Through the pain I held inside,
And the thoughts of suicide,
You make me wonder why God thought I was worthy of you,
Worthy of you, your care, and love that's been of oh so sincere and true,
Since you entered my life you helped give me the courage to fight,
Courage to fight the blade and the darkness of night,
You have become my rock,
With you I don't have to be afraid to talk,
I can be real,
I can openly tell you how I feel,
God knew I needed another angel to help me,
So He sent you to tell me softly,
"I love you,"
"And He does too,"
"Thank you" doesn't seem to be enough,
For you helped me during times that were so very tough,
You cared and never gave up on me,
You reminded me of all that I can be,
So I'm stuck here thinking about you,
Wondering how you could care about me as much as you do,
When I feel not good enough for your love and care,
You tell me I am and remind me you'll always be there,
I ponder how a beautiful girl like you could have your heart of gold,
Shocked with all the love and care it holds,
So I tell you thank you again,
For you are a God send,
I hope you never forget I love you,
That will always remain true,
And although you may not see it in the mirror,
You are an angel my dear,
With hidden wings and halo,
And a heart so pure like the snow,
Yet warmer then a fire,
Which helped heal a heart that had only thoughts that were bleak and dire,
My thanks and love for you is great,
And lets just say if they had weight,
Together they would weigh more than this universe and a million more,
So now all I can do is praise our savior,
And thank him for putting you in my life,
For you helped heal my internal wounds from strife,
I love you,
Never think that is untrue.
