Question Too early? - February 2nd 2018, 03:24 AM

I will keep this short. I am at the age most people start masturbating, yet I feel nothing. I attempted to research this, but all I can find is people talking about dry orgasms. Do I expect too much, or do I have to wait to be able to even dry orgasm?

Hey there,

I am glad that you reached out to us and I hope that I can assist you.

I think you should consider talking to a doctor about this issue to rule out any potential medical reasons as to why this might be occurring. Since I am not a professional I can't diagnose you so it would probably be a good thing to get a check up. I know that might be hard to do but the doctor should be able to help you figure out what could be causing it and rule out any physical barriers. One thing I want to say is that it is entirely possible that there isn't anything *wrong*. I never really masturbated and when I tried I never really felt much of anything. I used to think they must be something wrong with me because of it. When I entered into my first sexual relationship I realized there wasn't anything wrong with me I just didn't tend to get much stimulation when I was by myself. It is possible that you are similar. Another thing to consider is that if you are stressed out or feeling overwhelmed with other emotions it can prevent you from experiencing an orgasm. It is actually quite common for stress and overwhelming emotions to impede on men's ability to reach orgasm.

If you end up talking to a doctor and they rule out any physical reasons as to why you are dealing with this it might be a good idea to look into counseling. Discussing this with a counselor could help you figure out if there are any stressors that are causing this and help you work on finding a way to cope.

Best regards.
