Hi there,

As I don't know your age and gender it's hard to tell you whether or not you're likely to continue growing. However, for girls, I think it's often as or perhaps a year or two after periods begin. Though I'm not a health care professional so don't quote me on that, it's just a general observation I've made from observing my own growth and talking with female friends and family members. I'm not so sure about guys as I'm a girl, but perhaps some of our male members could give you more of an idea if you're a guy.

Genetics can't predict absolutely everything, but it does usually influence height. If you come from a family of small people, chances are you yourself will be on the smaller side. However, if most of your relatives are tall, chances are you'll also be tall.

I think the main thing here though is to try not to worry about it too much. There's nothing wrong with being shorter if you don't grow any more. Bodies come in all different shapes and sizes, and that's a good thing, it'd be so dull if we were all the same. There's also lots of advantages to being short - no blanket is ever too short for you if you're a small person, you can pass as a child for longer and pay less for various things, and you also get incredibly toned calves from standing on your tip toes all the time :P okay I'm just having a bit of fun :P but seriously, I'm a short person and it hasn't had any negative impacts on me and my life so far. Accept your self as you are because you're unique and lovely! If you don't like your height, then that's alright, but try to focus on the things that you do like about yourself and your appearance more instead. If anyone teases you about your height then just hit them back with one of the good things about being short I suggested. It's not the end of the world if you don't grow more.

Good luck!
