I was watching this show(a million little things) about someone who kills himself. After I was hurting a lot. Had, put on music, draw and find something to do to be ok. What is wrong with me? Why do I feel depressed after watching this? I called the suicide helpline so didn't cut myself. Please don't think I'm crazy. Should not see this show anymore.

I've not seen that show, but it's common to get upset over storylines where someone kills themselves. More so if you feel you can relate to the character or their situation or feelings in some way.

You're not crazy but it sounds like you maybe struggling with your own mood perhaps feeling a bit low? When we feel low and watch upsetting things, we may feel worse. It's really good that you tried to distract yourself and not watch the show anymore if it's upsetting you. It's also really good that you called the suicide helpline so that you didn't cut yourself.

If you struggle with feeling low most of the time, maybe you can try talking to someone about how you feel? A trusted family member, friend, teacher or counsellor? It is possible to overcome low mood and feel better, and it can really help taking the first step to talk to someone. You can also join our forums, or use HelpLINK and Live Help for more support!
