Autism diagnosis at 32 - and PICA -
Hey.
I was (a few years ago) diagnosed with EUPD but it was removed during a psychiatric hospital admission so haven’t had that diagnosis for a few years. Last week I was diagnosed with Autism and wonder whether it was an mis diagnosis all along. Anyway I’m 32 and wonder how if you were diagnosed as an adult you managed it and learnt best about Autism? I’ve been referred to an understanding Autsim group but it’s a two year wait list. I know a little bit about it and learning bits through friends. Also how did you feel being diagnosed at a later age?
I also wondered if anyone had experience with both Autism and PICA? They think I might have it too and that the PICA could be connected to the Autsim but I don’t really know anyone else with it and it just makes me feel weird and not normal. I do worry that by talking about it I will be heavily judged too.
