Not sexually active & I go months without my period. -

Ello.
I'm a young teenager. For around the past year and a half, I go months without my period (in the past year and a half I think I've gotten it twice). I've never participated in any sort of sexual activity, and I first got my period when I was either 9 or 10- so wouldn't I be almost done with irregular cycles? At least, I feel like this is too irregular to be normal. I have OCD and take sertraline (generic of Zoloft) and Abilify, could my meds have something to do with it?
What's going on?

It may help to look up the side affects of the drugs that you are on to see if any of them affect your hormones. It also might be helpful to tell your mum about this so she can schedule a doctors appointment if she or you think that it is serious enough. If you are super athletic girls can stop getting their period. I have friends that are runners and during cross country and tract season when they are running a lot they don't get their period. Also inordinate amounts of stress can mess with your body. Stress can do weird things to you like make your period funky and increase acne (at least in me anyway). I would really recvomend talking to a trusted adult (like ur mum or aunt or grandma) about it. They probably have comforting advice and will be able to take you to the doctor if necessary. I hope that you start to feel better. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

I agree with everyone else.. there could be a hormonal imbalance going on that causes the irregular periods, unless you're an athlete. I had the same problem (along with playing for a soccer club that involved a lot of training) and I ended up diagnosed with PCOS, so it's definitely worth talking to your doctor about.
