Ah...shaving down there... -

What an awkward thing to ask but it must be done!
I was talking to my FWB and we were asking each other what we liked and he said he preferred shaved. I know he probably wouldn't mind if I wasn't but I'd like to anyway if it'll make things easier when we're together. The thing is, the thought of using a razor down there kinda freaks me out so I was wondering if anyone had tips/advice on how to shave

And so I say to you that nothing really matters
And all you do is stand and cry.

I would definitely use an actual shaving gel, rather than just soap. It's much more sensitive there than your legs or arm pits are, and a shaving cream can help prevent irritation. It might also help to trim it first before you shave. For any type of shaving a warm shower or bath helps, because it softens the skin and relaxes the hair follicle. Also, try not to go over the same spot too many times, that might also increase irritation.

If there are gods and they are just,
then they will not care how devout you have been,
but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by.
If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them.
If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life
that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."

yh, make sure you moisturise it first, i use dove moisurising lotion, works really well, and then put loads of shaving gel on the area your going to shave and shave downwards (some people shave upwards but personaly i've never had any problems shaving downwards) do it gently though and after you finish moisturise it again, wait a few minutes and then run warmish water over the area.
make sure your being careful with the razor though. i cut myself down there once, wasn't nice to see but don't worry,it isn't that bad.
hope i helped.

Depends how much hair you want to remove. If its just your bikini line then shave, but anything more than that waxing is better. Saying that, if you're only having sex/doing sexual stuff once or twice a week, you could just use a hair removal cream - just don't leave it on for even a minute longer than you're supposed to or it'll hurt like hell.

I don't have a problem with shaving in the shower with just a razor. As long as you are careful and stuff you won't get cut. I've never been cut. Just make sure the razor is sharp so you don't have to deal with razor burn...OUCH!!!

You say hair removal cream/wax, yet. Every one I have looked at says not to use down there.
Yeah I've looked at all the major ones, veet, nair etc and all of them say that there not to be used down there. Someone please post a brand name of one that can be used down there.
Anyway, I shave the top of mine and then get a pair of scissor and trim the bits further down real short. It's a lot better than shaving it all off. But I am trying to find some hair removal cream I can use instead of shaving it.

I have found the best combination to use is an electric razor, a regular razor, and scisscors to trim. The regular razor works best on the bikini line and hair close to the skin, but be gentle so as not to nick yourself. The electric razor helps with taking off thicker amounts of hair at first so as not to clog up your regular razor. And the scissors work for hard-to-trim areas.
I also recommend using baby powder right after you shave since the skin in that area is sensitive and easily irritated by a razor. It also prevents ingrown hairs from forming.

Veet cream bikini kit. If you have trouble finding it then veet cream for sensitive skin is fine. You just have to be very, very careful not to get it on any of the skin around that are which doesn't naturally have hair on, because it is too harsh and could make the skin break/bleed.

I don't always shave but when I do, I usually trim as much as I can off with scissors first to make the shaving easier. Then I shave in a warm bath usually with shaving cream.
I should have said "I don't always shave but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis."

I shave brazilian style...which is every single hair. I use a mans razor, the one with 5 blades. They seem to work better for me. I dont use shavng cream because it irritates my skin for some reason. I use body wash instead. I dont lather it, just put the cream on there and rub it around. Id also suggest a lotion after you shave. Maybe baby lotion or something. I use Huggies Cucumber and Melon. lol Even a thin layer of Polysporin wouldnt hurt. If you decide to wax, definitely use Polysporin after.
