This would lead to a complete lack of genetic variation, as such no resistance to new dieases, pests or environmental situations as adaptation wouldn't be able to take place. Which would equal death, eventually.

Without sex humans couldn't reproduce, and we'd all go extinct. Sex is human nature, just because you're not fond of it doesn't mean it shouldn't exist.

I would like to some of your reasons why you think sex "destroys the world". I think I understand why one might think this, but I am not aware of your thoughts on this one. Yes, there are a lot of problems that come with irresponsibility with it, but like the others said, we would not last long. As in, there is a reason we reproduce. That is how, for plants as well, we adapt to our environment and change over periods of time. When humans reproduce, the mother and father both contribute different traits, which is why we all look and think differently. That just would not work out too well.

I agree in one sense: Sex isn't all its cracked up to be (and in my experience, I've got nothing 'mind blowing' to compare with)...
BUT, I disagree with the reproduction thing. If the human race isn't screwing to 'survive'... we'll end up dying out. Why rely on chemicals and machines when two humans, who are hot for each other, can do it naturally anyway?

I think you're just biased against sex in general... and probably because of a bad experience. Chill out! Just because you had a bad experience, doesn't mean we should all stop experiencing our natural animal urges!

I could argue against this as well... For one, animals don't marry. They have LOTS of sex. The thing with humans is that we place emotions into sex. It's not just for procreation. We have "love" in our sex equation.

Let me just say that I've never been married but I've never had a problem with sex . My life isn't ruined because I've had premarrital sex, my mind isn't destroyed, and I'm just fine. You may argue that my "soul" isn't, but that's your reality, not mine .

LOL. Humans are animals just like any other. We're the only ones that have tried to impose limitations on when people can and cannot have sex. I'm glad that this is changing over time.

From your post you make it sound like you believe sex within marriage is always perfect. Rape within marriage happens. Domestic violence happens. There are bad people, marriage does not stop that.

In my own personal way, I think I can see where you are coming... just not to such an extreme. I think the media makes everything over-sexualized... kids are seeing it at a younger and younger age. I definitely don't think sex shouldn't exist because, well, I love sex lol. Having sex has not ruined my life in any way. But I don't necessarily want my son seeing all the things they feel the need to show on t.v. (and just about everywhere... ads driving along the highway etc.). I just think people should be a little more discreet. That's all. Whatever you want to do sexually in you own life is your decision.

Yes not all animals have to have sex to reproduce but most (maybe all) mammals do and we are mammals. If we were something like strawberries then we could reproduce asexually.

Yeah in the future there might be a way to reproduce asexually but sex feels good for people so I don't see why they'd stop doing it.

Hi I'm sure we all would like to see you reasons for thinking this way.

Though it would be cool to have a clone of myself lol, but like how many breeds of dogs are suffering from chronic illness brought about by inbreeding same thing would happen to people not good idea. It works much better with simpler creatures like individual cells and jellyfish better.

I agree with many that being with my gf and doing sexual activities together is fun and bonds us and makes us feel good about ourselves and each other .

I understand the, "We're humans and we can have because It feels good" arguement. But the "we're animals, everything is a go" one is a bit over the top. We are not simply just animals, we are civilized. We do have the instituition of marriage and some people, not animals, like to abide by that. We have emotions, we cry we get angry, we have jobs, a total society.

This is something in Sociology called The Human Exemptional Paradigm. It means that humans are basically exempt from everything else and we are raised higher and more important than others. It's a studied topic, I didn't just make this up.
So when we talk about humans, studies show that we are not just animals.

Actually, as living beings our only true goals in life is to procreate so without sex, we have no real purpose.

I do agree, however, that an overabundance of sex in our society, especially in media, is completely ruining pretty much everything.

You missed the point, slightly, on both of those posts. My first one was Why I disagree with the OP. Sex does feel good. I like it, I like having it, and it's not destrying my life. Therefore I disagree lol

As for my second I was exactly comparing us to animals. Living things have sex. A lot of sex. We're part of that, whether you want to add emotions or religiong to sex is up to you. Truth is, biologically, we want it!

Sex can have negative feelings associated with it, like embarrassment and jealousy and possessiveness, but those negative feelings just show how much more sex means to us as a race besides procreation. Destroying it all together for the sake of only reproduction would destroy any unique meaning sex has for humans. Albeit, there would be some people better off because of it (I'm talking to you, Paris, Helen of Troy and Menelaus! ) and I'm sure some people would be better off, but the fact is it does exist and with it comes some of the most complex and beautiful feelings we can ever hope to achieve. With it also comes the power to achieve many things as a species as well.

I hate to say this but Sex has been going on LONG before marriage, morals, rules, laws, or rights even existed, therefore your statement is invalid.

Is our world better with marriage and morals and rules and laws? I would argue it's a double-edged sword.
Sure we have a law system to protect us, but a lot of innocents are convicted of crimes they did not do. I'm sure we all know SOME part of the law force is corrupted, it only makes sense.
