Question Getting off Yaz - June 30th 2010, 09:24 AM

I've been on Yaz birth control sence May 2009. I was an A cup and [Edited] pounds. Within a month I shot up to a B cup. I now weigh [Edited] pounds and am a C cup.

My problem is: I no longer need Yaz for birth control because I'm single. However I don;t want to loose my larger cup size. What will happen to my body if I stop Yaz???

When it comes down to it...You just gotta know who you are...and be ok with that.
I'm here to help...anytime.
And I just want some help in return.
I love you all.

Love,
Jane

I don't think anything will happen to your body. I'm not Yaz, but I'm on a birth control called Sprintec. I use to weigh XXX pounds and I was a B cup before I started birth control. When I started birth control, my weight went down to XXX pounds and I'm a C cup now. I plan on getting off birth control myself, but I don't think nothing will happen to your body. Don't worry

We're not allowed post weight numbers guys. I think your cup size may go down a little, but if you maintain the weight you're at it might stay.

Please don't post weight sizes on TH. We avoid weight sizes because they might be triggering for other members, especially those who have struggled with eating disorders or self-esteem. Also, please don't post just for the sake of telling other people that they can't post weight sizes. Report the message instead, or PM a moderator.

Jane, no one can really tell you what will happen to your body when you go off the pill. The hormones have different effects on everyone. I would assume that since your cup size increased so rapidly after starting the pill that the hormones in the pill had something to do with it. So it is possible that your cup size will go down, and if you really don't want that to happen, I would stay on the pill. Otherwise, go see your doctor and talk to him/her about it, which you should do before going off the pill anyway.

This is slightly off topic, but I saw a commercial the other day about Yaz. A lot of women taking it have had heart attacks, blood clots, strokes, and pulmonary embolism, and other similar things. But like ShimmeringFaerie already said, you should bring your inquiry about this to your doctor.
