Can you say EXTRA STRENGTH Tylenol?! Haha yeah just take a couple of those every six hours and you'll be good. Oh and PLENTY of excersise before your period is going to take place, make sure you get at least an hour of excersise everyday.

"Love" is an abused word. Don't continue to abuse it.

If it's bad enough to keep you home from school, I'd talk to your doctor. They can advise you on the best painkillers and/or suggest medications (like the birth control pill) that might be able to help. Outside of that, exercise and eat healthy. =]

I also make myself a heat pad using rice and a clean sock, just fill it with dry raw rice, heat in your microwave for 2-5 mins (you may have to keep checking it the first few times, so you dont overheat it or burn the rice, lol) rubberband upon removal from microwave and put it right across the cramps.

Replace the rice every month so it doesnt get icky

If your cramps are so bad that you have to take time off school then you should speak to a doctor to get stronger painkillers.

When I get my periods I end up rolling on the floor in agony. So I went on the pill which helps it a bit.
I find the best thing for it is to lay or sit with a very hot hot water bottle on your lower stomach. It seems to absorb the cramp, or the other way round.

Curling up in the fetal position can help, especially if you have a hot water bottle held over where it hurts. I take Neurofen for cramps, which help a bit. I'd also recomend a warm cup of tea and sleep, though if your cramps are so bad that you need time off school, I'd suggest going to a doctor and seeing if they recomend stronger painkillers.

I agree with Tayla, if you have to miss school because o them, you should definitely see a doctor about them.

But for cramps, I usually use hot water bottles, Ibuprofen, stretching, or a combination of the three.

LOL I hate period cramps. They're the friggin' worst!

3 words: EXTRA STRENGTH TYLENOL

If it doesn't work, what I do at school is in my desk (if your chairs & desks are connected like ours) I pulled my two legs up to my chest and sit in a ball during class. It looks totally normal and helps relieve your cramps by a ton! LOL

I had those horrid cramps before. I would take 4 Advil every hour just to dull the pain enough to walk from my room, to the bathroom. Go see your doctor. In my case, I had a severe uterus infection. But, I don't think that would've caused your pain. Please go see a doctor though, he can at least check you over and give you pain meds that will work.

My sister has cramps so bad she vomits.

She's on a ibuprofen/codeine mix. Only problem is she has to make sure she eats plenty of fibre because codeine stops you up.

Supposedly bananas are magically helpful.

It's supposedly because of the magnesium they contain.
So, magnesium supplements are better
(Magnesium is meant to help prevent muscle cramps in general)

Exercise, a lot of water, taking a hot bath, and talking to your doctor, that's everything that I did when my cramps started getting really bad.
