Awkward question xD but, question for you THers out there xD ... What do you define as dry sex?

What does doing this mean to you? Like... Do you still consider it something special/ enjoyable and like.... A bonding experiance?

Dry sex is basically going through the motions of sex (humping, grinding, rubbing) without the penis entering the vagina. Depending on who you ask, it can be done with or without clothes (or either). And since it's called DRY sex, there ought not be any ejaculation, really. (And just a warning: If you decide to do this naked, make sure semen stays out of contact with your vajay-jay, because there's still a chance you could get pregnant even in the absence of intercourse.)

It's not a bad experience, but obviously not the best. It serves its purpose when other things cannot be done and my boyfriend and I sometimes do it when I'm on my period. So in a way, yeah, it can be a bonding experience. It just depends on you and your partner and how you go about it. But the same goes for ALL sexual acts.

I think Nova has pretty such summed this up. Dry sex, meaning that it's dry, no bodily fluids. It's going through the motions of sex without the penis entering the vagina. This can be done with clothes on, or without clothes on.

It can be a start of a sexual relationship for some people before they get fully intimate.

I like it...me and my boyfriend do it quite a bit! It is a bit of a bonding experience, and it helped us get used to the idea of intercourse before actually taking that step.

"Dry sex" is a term that has different meanings to different people. Some people think it means taking off all your clothes and going through the motions of sexual intercourse, thrusting and grinding and rubbing against each other's bodies without ever inserting the penis into the vagina. Other people think it means going through the motions of sexual intercourse, without ever taking your clothes off.

Dry sex with clothes on can't result in a pregnancy. If the male ejaculates in his clothes, then there is no way for the sperm to get through his clothes and into the female's vagina. This form of dry sex also carries no or very low risk for sharing STDs (sexually transmitted diseases).

If there are no clothes on, however, and semen comes in contact with the opening of the vagina, then YES a PREGNANCY IS POSSIBLE. This form of dry sex carried a high risk for many STDs.

It can also be more difficult to control your desires and hormones once your clothes are off, so it can be a lot safer for both people to keep clothes on and enjoy the pleasure without the risk.

It's definitely an intimate step in your relationship. It's very sensual, but also exciting. If clothes are kept on, it's a nice way to get stimulation while keeping yourself protected/safe.
